The Department of Chemical Engineering holds a scientific lecture entitled (stimulants and nutritional supplements) at the Dar Al-Salaam hall on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. This workshop was attended by Deputy Dean of the Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Adnan A. Abdul Razak, faculty members, and employees of the department and the university. The seminar was given by Dr. Muzaffar Abdullah Shafiq / President of the Iraqi Federation of Sports Medicine/specialty of joints and bones. During this seminar, he explained how stimulants are used, how beneficial they are, and how dangerous they are for athletes. At the end of the seminar, certificates of appreciation were distributed by Dr. Adnan A. Abdul Razak for the presenter and the preparatory committee.

Recently, Dr. May Ali Alsaffar has published her research in the Journal of Cleaner Production titled " Scavenging carbon deposition on alumina supported cobalt catalyst during renewable hydrogen-rich syngas production by methane dry reforming using artificial intelligence modeling technique. " This international journal has an impact factor of 6.39 under Elsevier publisher.
