Department of Chemical Engineering within the cultural and scientific season for the first semester 2019-2020 held a scientific lecture by Dr. Haidar Abdul Karim

Within the activities of scientific and cultural activity for the first semester of the Department of Chemical Engineering for the academic year 2019-2020 (Haider Abdul Karim) Lecture entitled:

Crystal growth of ErN and ScN via physical vapor transport: synthesis, properties, characterization, and process simulation.

Crystalline growth of ScN and ErN by physical vapor transition method: manufacturing, properties, and process simulation.

In the presence of Mr. Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering Associated Prof. Dr. Khaled AjamiSukkar, the assistants, heads of branches, academic staff, employees and students of masters and doctorate on Thursday, 24/10/2019

The lecturer explained that semiconductors represent the basic element in the manufacture of electrical chips. High purity crystals and crystal arrangement were used to produce semiconductors. There are several ways of producing crystals, including the physical transfer of steam. This method is characterized by the production of pure crystals due to the principle of the method of sublimation.

Semiconductors represent the heart of microprocessor chips and are made of highly structural single crystal materials. physical vapor transport is one of several methods were employed to grow crystals since it can produce high quality and pure crystals due to its fundamental principle of sublimation.
