Among the scientific activity of the students of the Chemical Process Engineering Branch, for the second week, seminars were held for the students of the fourth academic year, morning and evening studies, in the presence of a number of faculty members in the branch. These seminars were delivered in the presence of the students of the third academic year, in order to interact between the students’ seminars in clarifying the production process plan and the equipment design approach for the students of the third academic year.

The head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Jamal Manee Al-Rubeai, and in the presence of a number of faculty members in the department, met first-year students (new students) in the Department of Chemical Engineering for the academic year 2022/2023 on Sunday 27/11/2022. The meeting included a welcome by the head of the department to the new students, congratulating them on their admission to the Department of Chemical Engineering, wishing them success during their scientific career in the department. He gave a brief explanation about the department and the scientific and administrative work system in it, stressing that students must adhere to the legal and disciplinary instructions for students, adhere to official working hours, attend lectures, preserve public property, take care of classrooms and laboratories, and maintain existing equipment during use. As well as avoiding negative behaviors, expressing opinions and submitting proposals that contribute to the development of academic aspects through the administrative staff in the department. During the meeting, an introductory tour was made for students inside the department's building and laboratories.

In a unique experience, the experimental laboratory team, under the supervision of the scientific and practical supervisors, directed the students of the fourth stage to the morning and evening studies and for all branches (Chemical Process Engineering - Chemical Engineering and Oil Refining - Chemical Engineering and Oil Pollution) to organize the laboratory experiments in the form of (Power Point) and present it in Laboratory day, to prepare the student on how to present experiments and participate with his colleagues and provide them with additional skills

The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a workshop on Excel on Monday 11/14/2022.

The workshop aimed to develop the skills of the department's employees and develop their administrative capabilities.

The workshop included a lecture by M. Director. Hala Wanis Mohammed gave a detailed explanation of how to learn Excel. As one of the basic programs in the field of entering employee data by organizing charts, as well as explaining how to learn filtering and printing features.
