The membrane technology research unit (MTRU) is a research structure for the development of membrane science and technology. With a background chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, Environmental Engineering, materials science and Engineering and all disciplinary related to the water treatment. The MTRU is equipped with bench scale systems and devices, among them; hollow fiber membrane formation system, membrane performance device for hollow fiber, and UF, MF, MD, FO, NF and RO system.
The main research activities which are pertinent for the project are:

Membrane operations in desalination and wastewater treatment
