              Asst. Prof. Dr. Taleb Mohamed Nayef the head of Chemical Engineering and Oil Refining Branch, in cooperation with Masters Student Abdul Qader Abdul Amir, published a scientific paper in the international journal within the Clarivate containers with impact factor of 2.6 and under the title: Synthesis and Characterization of Mesoporous Materials as a Carrier and Release of Prednisolone in Drug Delivery System.


 

 

 

In order to support the graduates of the Department to obtain employment opportunities on the ministries of the State, especially the scientific initiatives launched by the Ministry of Oil to accommodate the graduates of the Department of Chemical Engineering, the staff of the Registration Division has started over the past few days to complete more than 500 documents in degrees for the graduates of the Department. These documents were completed under the direct supervision of the Head of Department and completed in record time on the same day through the establishment of a daily operations room in the Registration Division. It is worth mentioning that the Department of Chemical Engineering includes three scientific branches, all of which serve the oil sector in the field of oil refineries and industrial sectors supportive.

1- Chemical Processing Engineering Branch.

2- Chemical Engineering and Oil Refining Branch.

3- Chemical Engineering and Oil Pollution Branch

 


 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar the head of Chemical Engineering Department, in cooperation with the faculty members from the Department of Applied Sciences, they are Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhuha Ahmed Saadi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Amal Ali Hussein and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Radi publish international research in a scientific journal within Clarivate containers under the title: Synthesis and Characterization Hybrid Materials (TiO2/MWCNTS) by Chemical Method and Evaluating Antibacterial Activity against Common Microbial Pathogens

 

 

The Department of Chemical Engineering held a training course on (Design and construction of pipelines for oil and gas) in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology for the period from 4-8 / 8 / 2019.An engineering staff from the Ministry of Oil participated in the course. Whereas, the lectures were given by Asst. Prof. Dr. Zainab Yousef Shanin, Head of Chemical Engineering and Oil Pollution Branch. The course dealt with the most important engineering designs in the field of transporting oil and gas through the carrier lines

in accordance with the approved international standards.

The head of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology; Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar inspected the final exams / intensive course for undergraduate studies. He praised the efforts of the Examination Committee to create the appropriate scientific atmosphere for students and provide all necessary supplies for students as well as faculty members, and thanks to all professors who contributed to give intensive course for students during the summer vacation.
