Field visit to the Department of Chemical Engineering to the Industrial Development Authority
In light of the directives of the President of the University Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir on opening up to the industrial sector, A delegation headed by the head of the chemical engineering department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and the head of Chemical Engineering and Oil Refining Branch Asst. Prof. Dr. Talib Mohamed Nayef, and the head of Chemical Engineering and Pollution Branch Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul-Jabbar Abdul Razzaq with faculty members from our Department: Asst. Prof. Dr. Salah Salman Ibrahim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Hamed, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jinan Abdul Karim and Lecturer Lama Hussein Mahmoud were visited to the Industrial Research and Development Authority to discuss scientific cooperation between the two parties. During the visit, the Director-General, Mr. Abdul Ghani Fakhri, welcomed the visit. An extensive meeting was held with the administrative and scientific cadres of the Authority, where they discussed ways of developing joint scientific cooperation between the two parties. The program also included a visit to the centers and laboratories of the Industrial Authority.

Based on the directives of the President of the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir, who is dedicated to providing all support to students and graduates to develop their scientific skills, the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar welcomed a delegation from the German GIZ organization that concerned with the development of the young scientific capabilities of students and graduates. On the sidelines of the meeting, an expanded meeting was held on the possibility of supporting the students of the department and the university and studying the most important scientific programs presented by the organization that serve the aspirations of the educational process. The meeting was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Sadeq, Head of Chemical Process Engineering Branch, and Mr. Ammar Mousa, Director of the Jobs Division.

The head of the chemical engineering department Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar welcomed a delegation from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Tikrit, which comprises Dr. Saad Nahi and Mr. Ismail Ibrahim. On the sidelines of the visit, an extensive field visit was conducted to the experimental laboratory in our Department. They also discussed the possibility of supporting our department to the University of Tikrit for the purpose of modernizing the laboratory equipment as a result of its damage due to the sabotage carried out by criminal gangs (ISIS). For his part, the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Tikrit expressed his thanks for the purpose of preparing designs for experiments and opening laboratories in our Department for visits of students and teaching staff as directed by the University of Technology to provide support and assistance to universities in liberated areas. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Thamer Jassim Mohammed and the Director of Laboratories Department Dr. Ali Abdul Rahman.
