The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Basem Obaid Hassan, chairman, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Turki Rashid, member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Alaa Mashjel Ali, member, and under the supervision of both Prof. Dr. Khalid Hamid Rashid  and Prof. Dr. Khaleda Farhan Sohail with Prof. Dr. Anis Abdullah Kazem as a consultant supervisor. As well as the scientific evaluation of the dissertation was done by Prof. Dr. Sami Ibrahim Jaafar from the University of Technology and Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Abbar from Baghdad University, and linguistically by Lect. Dr. Farooq Ahmed Mehdi from the University of Technology.

The Head of the Chemical Engineering Department is making an inspection tour on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2022/2023.

In preparation for the new academic year 2022/2023, the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Jamal Manee Ali Alrubaye, made an inspection tour to verify the reality and needs of the classrooms and laboratories of the department. He stressed during the visit that starting academic work at this stage constitutes a new challenge for faculty members and students, which requires everyone to work in a team spirit.

He stressed the need to develop students' skills and raise the level of efficiency by focusing on the practical and theoretical aspects together, and the need to adhere to the attendance system. During his tour, the head of the Chemical Engineering Department followed up on the department's preparations at the academic, administrative and technical levels, and the preparation of cadres, faculty members, and scientific and service facilities for the success of the new academic year at all levels. He stressed the inevitability of concerted efforts to achieve the success of the scientific process, wishing everyone a happy and successful academic year, God willing.

Within the external activities of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hamid Rashid participated as a member of the committee to discuss the MSc. dissertation of student Fatima Mahmoud Shaker, entitled "Corrosion inhibition in the flow pipes of the Iraqi Rumaila oil field in acid and saline media" at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, on Thursday 6/10/2022.

 It is a source of pleasure and pride and on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2022/2023. I am pleased to extend my warmest congratulations and welcome to all the faculty members, all members of the department, and our dear students, wishing everyone an academic year full of knowledge, work, and giving, looking toward excellence, excellence, and prosperity

As befits our dear country and our prestigious university. As you are the center of the educational process at the university, and on this occasion, I invite everyone to work in the spirit of one team to achieve the goals of the department's scientific and cognitive mission. Especially after the end of the epidemiological challenge represented by the (Corona) pandemic, and the return to attendance. This makes us more insistent on success and excellence to achieve the maximum degrees of progress and prosperity and contribute to the achievement of the scientific and cognitive message that the university seeks.

 Wishing everyone an academic year full of hard work, diligence, perseverance, success, and the search for ways to raise the level of scientific research, as it is the solid base for the scientific, knowledge, cultural, and value building of human societies.
