Within the scientific and cultural activities of the first semester for the Department of Chemical Engineering the Asst. Lect. Nour Eden Yahya was given a lecture related to her research under the title: Comparative Equilibrium Studies on Lead Ions Removal from Aqueous Solutions by Calcium Alginate and Chitosan-Calcium Alginate. The presentation was provided inside the Al-Khwarizmi Hall on Thursday, 15/11/2018 in the presence of the head of chemical engineering department; Assist Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul-Jabbar Abdul Razzaq; scientific deputy of the head of department, and Lect. Dr. Wallaa Abdel Hady Al-Najjar; administration deputy of the head of department, as well as the heads of the branches with a number of staff from the department in addition to the postgraduate students.

The Student was obtained a MSc. Degree after discuss of his dissertation under the title: "Evaluation the Surface Modification of Magnetic Nanoporous Adsorbent in Drug Delivery System", which was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Talib Mohamed Nayef, on Monday, 19/11/2018 inside Al-Khwarizmi Hall in Chemical Engineering Department-University of Technology. The discussion Committee was comprised of; Prof. Dr. Thamer Jassim Muhammad, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anam Sameh Aref and Lect. Dr. Antsar Hussein.
