The Department of Chemical Engineering discusses a master's dissertation on the corrosion inhibition of mild steel

Within the scientific activities of the Department of Chemical Engineering, a master's dissertation for the student Wassan Farhan Hamid entitled (Corrosion inhibition of mild steel in carbon dioxide saturated brine) was discussed on Thursday 30/12/2021. The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Sami Ibrahim Jaafar, chairman, Prof. Dr. Basem Obaid Hassan, member, Lect. Dr. Haider Abdul Karim Mohsen, member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khaled Hamid Rashid, member and supervisor, and Prof. Dr. Anis Abdullah Kazem, member and advisory supervisor. The master's dissertation was accepted with excellent degree. The study aims to address the corrosion problem of mild steel used in the petroleum industries by using organic inhibitors to reduce corrosion rates.
