MSc. Student Aya Atef Mohamed was awarded a MSc. Degree in Chem. Eng. from the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The Student was obtained a MSc. Degree after the discuss of her dissertation under the title: "Rheological and Mechanical Properties of Reinforced Rubber Nano-materials for Tires Manufacturing Applications", which was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and Asst. Prof. Dr. Zainab Yousif, on Monday4-11-2019 inside Al-Khwarizmi Hall in Chemical Engineering Department-University of Technology. The discussion committee was comprised of Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul Jabbar, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ibtihal Karim Shaker and Lect. Dr. Alaa Mushajil. The student explained that the polybutadiene rubber properties have been improved by using graphene, MWCNTs, and TiO2 as nanomaterials, this method applied in many industrial applications including tires manufacturing. In this research, we have studied the influence of different nanomaterials and variance loading level on mechanical and thermal specifications of rubber composites, also, study various characterization including SEM, FTIR and XRD to identify the morphology surface nanocomposites, showing functional groups and crystalline structures of composites.
