Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Pollution Branch

  Chemical Engineering and Oil Pollution Branch founded in 2015

       Vision: To achieve the quality of education and research in environmental pollution caused by industrial and oil activities.

       Mission: The purpose of the industrial and oil pollution Engineering Branch is to graduate competent and skillful engineers to benefit the Iraqi society; advance research in petroleum and industrial environmental engineering.

 

       The educational program of Industrial and Petroleum Pollution Engineering are to produce graduate who:-

1.     Practice environmental engineering science in a manner that is ethically responsible and consistent with regulatory and social concerns.

2.     Have a broad knowledge and critical thinking skills required to analyze industrial and petroleum pollution problems taking into account, safety, and societal impact.

3.    Be exposed to current and emerging technologies and have the ability to pursue life-long learning through continuing education or post-graduate education.

 

Graduate Outcomes

 

  1. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering in energy and renewable energies engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.

 

  1. An ability to apply the engineering design process to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration for public health and safety, and global, cultural, social, environmental, economic, and other factors as appropriate to the discipline

 

  1. An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions

 

  1. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences

 

  1. An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts

 

  1. An ability to recognize the ongoing need to acquire new knowledge, to choose appropriate learning strategies, and to apply this knowledge

Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering Branch

 

Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering Branch founded in 1998

 Vision: Prepare qualified engineers to take leaderships in refinery ,petrochemicals and industrial professions and research

        Mission: The program provides responsible and efficient gas and oil refinery processing engineers . The program contributes to the advancement of knowledge through quality research 

 The educational program of Oil and Gas Refinery Engineering program are to produce graduate who:-

1.     Achieve a successful graduated with a broad knowledge in refinery, petrochemicals, gas industries and other related processes.

2.     Integrate academic preparation with oil and gas refinery engineering technology developments

3.     Work effectively in a team environment and well communicate with other professional collages

 Chemical Process Engineering Branch founded in 1998

  Vision: To be a part of international education and research knowledge institutions

Mission: Our program attends to prepare students for technical careers ,serving the national and regional industrial communities .The students provide leadership in chemical process and related discipline

 The educational program of Chemical Processing Engineering program are to produce graduate who:-

1.     Able to engage engineering theories with chemical engineering practice to design and analyze process problems taking into account environmental impacts and safety.

2.     Effective communication team work and Successful leadership in chemical engineers related careers (industries, water treatment, catalytic reactor).

3.     Maintain a life long interest in learning for personal and professional developments.
