Department of Chemical Engineering / University of Technology holds a workshop entitled (Method of characterization of curriculum syllabuses for the course system) at Dar Al-Salaam Hall on 20/3/2019 in the presence of the head of the chemical engineering department Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and the deputies of the head of the department and the heads of branches with a group from faculty members, where the lecture was given by Lect. Dr. Farah Talib Jassim. She was explained in her lecture the mechanism adopted in the organization of curriculum characterization.

Lect. Dr. Samira Najm Abdullah was given a lecture entitled "Removal of Oil and Phenol from Wastewater by Combination Ultrasound and Ion Exchange Technique". The presentation was provided inside Al-Khorzami Hall on Thursday, 14/3/2019 in the presence of the head of the chemical engineering department Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and the deputies of the head of the department and the heads of branches with a group from faculty members and students.

The MSc. student Marwa Nasser was given a lecture related to her research under the title "Study the influence of variables on clathrate technology behavior that using in separation of water from industrial pollutants". The presentation was provided inside Al-Khorzami Hall on Thursday, 14/3/2019 in the presence of the head of the chemical engineering department Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and the deputies of the head of the department and the heads of branches with a group from faculty members and students.
The Department of Chemical Engineering won the third place in the championship of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir for chess tournament
On the occasion of the completion of the championship of the president of the university, Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir for the chess tournament, the Department of Chemical Engineering received the third place through the participation of student Hussein Abdul-raza. The ceremony was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar; Head of chemical engineering department and the administrative deputy of the head of department Lect. Dr. Wallaa Abdel Hady along with Mr. Mustafa Subhi; the chess team trainer. Blessed are the winners, wishing all participants progress and success.

MSc. Student Mohammed Aziz Hamza was awarded a MSc. Degree in Chem. Eng. from the Department of Chemical Engineering.
The Student was obtained a MSc. Degree after the discuss of his dissertation under the title: "Desulfurization of Petroleum Middle Distillates Using Highly Active Unsupported Catalyst", which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fadel Abdel and Lect. Dr. Shaker Mahmoud Ahmed, on Monday 10-12-2018 inside Al-Khwarizmi Hall in Chemical Engineering Department-University of Technology. The discussion committee was comprised of Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Karim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Riad Sadiq Mohammed and Lect. Dr. Farah Talib Jassim.
The Department of Chemical Engineering holds a scientific symposium in cooperation with the Gas Filling Company entitled (Economies of gas mobilization projects and modern technology in the development of production processes)
Under the auspices of the President of the University of Technology; Prof. Dr. Amin Daway Thamir the Department of Chemical Engineering held a scientific symposium in cooperation with the Gas Filling Company, entitled "Economies of gas mobilization projects and modern technology in the development of production processes", at the Dar Al-Salaam Hall on Thursday, 13/12/2018. This was attended by the University President deputy for the administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Sami Abul-Nun Ajil and the head of Chemical Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and the representative of General Manager of the filling company, Mr. Wissam Abdul Jalil and the representative of the Iraqi engineers union the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Mr. Haidar Majid and a number of department heads, professors and employees from the department and the university with a group of employees from the company. The head of the department said in his speech the need to use the most important methods and modern technologies in the field of investment of liquefied gas and the feasibility study of gas projects and identify the most important industrial projects that have been established in Iraq and the world. The symposium was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Salah Salman Ibrahim and Asst. Prof. Dr. Khaled Turki as the Rapporteur. The seminar included scientific lectures gave by Dr. Mohammed Nasser Hussain, Ministry of Oil and Lect. Dr. Haidar Abdul Ali / University of Technology. At the end of the symposium, certificates of appreciation were awarded by the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department to the lecturers, the supervising committee, the preparatory committee and the media and protocols committee.

Degree after the discuss of his dissertation under the title: " High performance lubricating oil for military tanks application by using different nanoparticles", which was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hassan Abdul Karim Allah, on Thursday 8-11-2018 inside Al-Khwarizmi Hall in Chemical Engineering Department-University of Technology. The discussion committee was comprised of Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdul Jabbar Abdul Razzaq, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saad Hanash Ammar and Lect. Dr. Wallaa Abdel Hady Al-Najjar.
